The Blueberry Jessner is also particular good for treating photo-damaged
skin. Due to the combination of acids, it is one of the few COSMEDIX
peels which generates heats. While we are all about reducing
inflammation with our treatments, it is sometime beneficial to have a
little destruction to breakdown old, damaged tissue and collagen. This
ignites and up regulation of the Matrix Metalloproteinase (MMP’s)
responsible for the breakdown of damaged Collagen and Elastin. Which in
turn allows for new collagen rebuilding and remodelling. Out with the
old, in with the new!

We recommend to use Vitamin A and AHA’s in your home care programme 2
weeks prior the treatment. There is some heat involved with this
treatment, Fitzpatrick skin types IV-VI require a longer pre-peel prep
programmed also need to include additional tyrosinase inhibitors to help
to build skins tolerance and regulate pigment, reducing the risk of
post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
